Project Type
Collaborative Corporate Training / Train-the-Trainer Workshop
Date
February 2023
Role
Designer
-Project Overview-
This project involved the collaborative design of a synchronous Train-the-Trainer workshop focused on strengthening interpersonal and communication skills in a corporate environment. The training was designed for internal facilitators who would deliver the session to employees in a remote work setting.
The final deliverables included:
A comprehensive slide deck
A detailed facilitator guide
A structured participant guide
Interactive breakout activities
Reflection prompts and discussion scenarios
The workshop emphasized practical application of interpersonal skills, communication theory, behavior cycles, and rapport-building strategies.
-Goals & Objectives-
By the end of the training, participants were able to:
Analyze interpersonal behavior cycles (attitude → behavior → impact)
Apply language patterns to build rapport and improve clarity
Strengthen communication skills for professional settings
Identify verbal, non-verbal, written, and visual communication methods
Improve engagement and collaboration in remote work environments
The workshop was intentionally structured to move from self-awareness to applied communication strategies.
-Resources & Tools Used-
PowerPoint Slide Deck (60+ slides)
Facilitator Guide (structured delivery notes and timing cues)
Participant Guide (reflection prompts and activities)
Breakout Room Activities (synchronous engagement)
Scenario-based discussion prompts
NLP-based Meta Model language frameworks
Remote support framework for distributed teams
-Process & Implementation-
1. Collaborative Design
This was a team-based development project where we:
Divided content development responsibilities
Met regularly to align learning objectives
Ensured instructional consistency across materials
Reviewed each iteration for cohesion and clarity
The training was designed for synchronous delivery, so pacing, facilitator prompts, and engagement strategies were critical components.
2. Instructional Strategy
We incorporated adult learning principles by including:
Self-reflection prompts
Real-world scenario discussions
Breakout room collaboration
Guided behavior analysis
Language pattern application exercises
The workshop included two structured modules:
Lesson 1: Interpersonal Skills & Behavior Cycles
Emotional awareness
Attitude-behavior relationships
Meta Model language patterns
Rapport-building strategies
Lesson 2: Communication Skills
Eight components of communication
Methods of communication (verbal, non-verbal, written, visual)
Active listening techniques
Emotional intelligence and professionalism
Ethical and respectful communication
Interactive discussions and reflective exercises reinforced content application.
3. Train-the-Trainer Focus
Because this was a Train-the-Trainer model, we:
Structured slides with facilitation cues
Designed discussion timing guides
Included activity instructions
Ensured objectives were measurable
Built in engagement checkpoints
This approach ensured consistent delivery quality across facilitators.
-Outcomes & Impact-
This workshop design provides:
A scalable corporate communication training solution
Increased facilitator confidence
A structured framework for improving interpersonal dynamics
Tools for strengthening remote employee engagement
Clear integration of theory into workplace practice
The training addresses real organizational needs such as collaboration, emotional intelligence, and communication breakdown prevention.
-Why I Am Highlighting This Work-
This project demonstrates my ability to:
Design synchronous corporate training
Collaborate effectively on instructional teams
Apply behavioral and communication theory to real-world contexts
Create facilitator-ready materials
Design for engagement in remote environments
Structure learning for transfer and workplace application
It highlights my capability to build not just content — but complete instructional systems, including facilitation support, learner materials, and scalable delivery frameworks.
This work reflects readiness for roles in corporate learning & development, professional development, and organizational training environments.
