About Me
Finding Inspiration in Every Turn
I didn’t begin my career in higher education — I began in the kitchen.
As a Head Chef, I led teams in fast-paced environments where precision, coaching, and clear instruction made the difference between chaos and excellence. What I didn’t realize at the time was that I was already an educator. Training new staff, breaking down complex processes, and building confident teams sparked something bigger in me.
While working in the food industry wanting to pivot instructional design found me, I wasn't seeking it. I was in the process of wanting to get into the tech industry as an engineer or developer. That was until I was approached by a close friend in a bind, they were a new educator that had to use Canvas Infrastructure and was trying to learn tips via YouTube video by a creator named Ashlee Espinosa. I offered to help and I consumed myself with the program, the videos she offered and it was history from then. Since then I've worked with high school and university professors creating courses with the knowledge they provide as the subject matter experts.
That passion led me into corporate training with a nationally recognized pharmacy organization, where I served as a Subject Matter Expert and corporate training leader. There, I discovered the power of structured learning design and scalable impact.
Today, I work in higher education as an LMS Administrator and Distance Education Support Coordinator at a community college. I support faculty, improve digital learning systems, and design learning experiences that help students and instructors experience clarity — that defining “aha” moment when understanding clicks.
I believe learning should be empowering, accessible, and transformative.
